A Long Island high school promised Tuesday to discipline a handful of students who taunted a rival football team by flashing crude signs with their girlfriends’ pictures, names and tasteless messages. Sachem School District Superintendent Patti Trombetta apologized for the incident at Friday’s game against William Floyd, when a handful of students held sickening signs in the audience, including a poster that showed a player and his girlfriend and asked who was “easier to score on. ” Another sign read that they wanted to “touchdown” on one of the opposing player’s girlfriends.
