Quail Group Corporate structures are entering a period of significant change as organizations reconsider how work, decisions, and accountability move through the business. Fortune reported in June 2026 that signs of a "Great Flattening" are emerging as companies explore fewer management layers and greater use of technology to coordinate work. It cites Korn Ferry's survey, which found that about 41% said their organizations reduced management layers in the previous year.
