A former Democratic National Committee fundraiser who later left the party after likening it to a cult has claimed Kamala Harris was gearing up to poach Joe Biden’s donors days before he abandoned his re-election bid – despite proclaiming she was supporting him and could still win. “She would host calls with donors and pretend to support Biden and say there’s no daylight between Biden and herself,” Lindy Li, who previously branded Harris’ failed presidential bid a $1 billion disaster, told Fox News Digital. But Harris’ charm offensive was part of a broader tactic should an opportunity arise to replace Biden in the race – who faced mounting pressure to drop out after his disastrous June 2024 debate with then-former President Trump.
