Francisco Lindor stays red-hot with big day in rout of Yankees: ‘What we should have been doing’

Francisco Lindor should lobby for the Mets to play the Yankees on Sept. 12 every season.   After blasting three homers on that date in the Subway Series at Citi Field in 2021, the Mets shortstop had an afternoon for himself Saturday, homering twice — including a grand slam — in the Mets’ 12-2 romp over the Yankees in The Bronx.
