Los Angeles rush hour got a whole lot uglier Wednesday as a brush fire tore through the hills near the Getty Center, sending thick smoke over the 405 Freeway and triggering a major firefighting response. The blaze, known as the Getty Fire, erupted around 4:15 p. m.
