Four people are dead after an overpacked compact car veered off the road, struck a pole and sent passengers hurling through the air. Six people were crammed into a Hyundai Veloster, a hatchback with seating for five, when it crashed on Highway 2’s scenic mountain section at around 1:30 am Friday, according to authorities. Four people died in the crash near Flume Canyon Drive in Wrightwood, several of the bodies were thrown from the compact Hyundai vehicle.
