Five dogs were staring down a potentially deadly fate inside a stifling Newport Beach car, until a cop busted through the window and hauled them out. Body-cam footage released Friday by the Newport Beach Police Department shows the May 18 rescue, a dramatic reminder of just how fast a parked car can become a death trap for pets. The officer was sent to a vehicle in the 2400 block of Holly Lane and found all five dogs trapped inside.
