The sobbing widow of slain UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson came face-to-face with her husband’s killer for the first time in court as he emotionlessly admitted to shooting him dead at point-blank range in Manhattan two years ago. Paulette Thompson looked stoic in sunglasses and a blue dress as she was escorted to a black SUV with other relatives after witnessing Luigi Mangione, 28, admit to gunning down her husband in cold blood. While the 53-year-old physical therapist stayed mum about the dramatic development, her family later released a statement calling it a critical step toward holding the self-styled martyr from Maryland accountable.
