Another major California city deploys crushing crackdown on drivers

Long Beach is set to get 18 speed cameras spread across the city as its efforts to harry drivers into slowing down intensify. Cameras will be installed at 18 different spots, including Long Beach Boulevard and Artesia Boulevard. Residents should expect tickets if they speed by 11 mph or more, with fines rising as drivers exceed the speed limit.
