Iran executes 20-year-old protestor arrested during anti-regime street demonstrations

      Iran executed a 20-year-old protester on Saturday morning for waging war “against God,” when he took part in nationwide street demonstrations against the regime in January. Arvin Kheirkhah was executed at Shahroud prison, UK-based Iran International reported, raising widespread fears that more executions of protestors were on the horizon.   He was arrested as part of a brutal crackdown during January’s nationwide anti-government protests and sentenced to death by a Revolutionary Court, whose practices have been condemned by international watchdogs for relying on arbitrary charges and vague crimes such as “enmity against God” and “corruption on earth.
