The US cities where vehicle theft is most rampant have been revealed. Nationwide vehicle thefts have hit a historic low — down 35% since its peak in 2023 — but the crime continues to wreak havoc in some of the country’s blue metros. Using stats and data from 2025 from the FBI, National Insurance Crime Bureau and the Highway Loss Data Institute, American Trucks determined that Oakland, CA, is the riskiest city for car owners.
