Elijah Bieniemy’s potential mental health evaluation has delayed two scheduled court appearances in connection with the shooting of his mother, Mia Bieniemy. Elijah, the son of Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, was arrested Monday after the shooting took place at the Bieniemy family home in Virginia on Sunday night. Bieniemy, 27, was charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and discharge of a firearm inside a dwelling.
