If the Yankees had been given their report card last month, their grades might look a bit different. Then their annual summer swoon happened, with most of the lineup collectively slumping at the same time and doing some damage to many of their individual grades before they finished the first half on a high note. The good news for the Yankees is they get the full season to be properly graded, meaning there are 66 more games to get things back on track after a rough stretch before the All-Star break that left them 54-42 and three games back of the Rays for the AL East lead.
