Cristo Fernández has officially turned fiction into reality. The actor best known for portraying the endlessly optimistic Dani Rojas on the Apple TV+ hit “Ted Lasso” made his professional debut Saturday for USL Championship club El Paso Locomotive FC, appearing as a late substitute in a 2-0 USL Cup loss to New Mexico United. Fernández, 35, entered the match in the 79th minute, marking the realization of a lifelong dream that predated his acting career.
