A Long Island school board meeting ended in chaos after the district’s interim superintendent called the police on the board’s newly selected president — because he “poked” her, according to reports. Freeport school district’s Interim Superintendent Shakirah Miller dialed 911 and filed a police report against Michael Pomerico on Wednesday night, who was just voted-in by the board as president, after he allegedly poked her during a heated exchange following a routine meeting at Caroline G. Atkinson Elementary School, according to the Freeport Herald.
