Californians who celebrate too much this 4th of July holiday are being offered free rides home to avoid drunk driving and keep the roads safe. Residents in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Coachella, Rancho Mirage and a handful of other southern California towns can get a free ride home from a cab or Lyft driver to avoid getting on the road impaired from parties celebrating America’s 250th birthday. 4 The Walter Clark Legal Group is offering up to $50 in reimbursement for eligible Lyft or cab rides home on the night of July 4.
