Matt Miller is facing an investigation by the Missouri Attorney General’s Office after the ESPN NFL scout became the subject of a viral Reddit thread alleging he ran fantasy football charity leagues and withheld payment from multiple participants. The Missouri AG’s office told Awful Announcing it has “an open investigation into this issue. ” The Reddit thread, which opened on May 21, 2026 and is titled “Matt Miller Leagues and Scam,” gained momentum online after Miller posted on X on June 21 that he was in a serious car accident and underwent a life-saving amputation of his left arm.
