What will dictate Reid Detmers’ status as a big MLB trade deadline target

Angels left-hander Reid Detmers could become a huge trade target if owner Arte Moreno allows interim GM John Mozeliak to make trades. The just-fired GM Perry Minasian was disallowed by the uber-reluctant Moreno from making many franchise-altering trades for Shohei Ohtani before Moreno decided not accept Ohtani’s gift of an offer to stay with that same 97 percent deferred $700M deal. Minasian was routinely prevented from making deals.
