A former Alaskan town mayor who was once named a “parent of the year” has been charged with dozens of child sex crimes. Longtime Chevak Mayor Ulric Jeffery Ulroan, 48, was arrested Wednesday, accused of assaulting several teenage girls between 2009 and 2025, according to Alaska State Troopers — who warned that “there could be additional victims. ” Ulroan, who was also a high school girls’ basketball coach, has been under investigation since January when cops received a tip-off he allegedly abused a 17-year-old girl in Chevak between 2009 and 2010 — two years after becoming the town’s mayor.
