France star forward Ousmane Dembélé made FIFA World Cup history during his team’s June 26 group-stage contest against Norway. The reigning Ballon d’Or winner scored three goals in the first half of Friday’s game. This marks the first time a player has scored a first-half hat trick in the World Cup since 1994, which is coincidentally the last time that a World Cup was played in the United States.
