Mets trade David Peterson to Cubs as they dump struggling lefty

After the Mets royally failed to take care of business on the field in a doubleheader against the Cubs on Wednesday, they decided to do some business off it.   The Mets traded pitcher David Peterson to Chicago in exchange for the Cubs’ No. 13 ranked prospect Cole Mathis, The Post’s John Heyman reported after a disastrous night for the Amazin’s at Citi Field.
