A pair of Manhattan men were arrested this week after they allegedly imported one million individual doses of the lethal date rape drug GBL into NYC. Mark Dygdon and Rodrigo Castro allegedly conspired to flood the five boroughs with seven tons of gamma-butyrolactone, which goes by street names like Blue Nitro and Revivarant and leaves users with euphoric and sedative effects. Dygson, 48, and Castro, 34, were accused of bringing the drug in between August 2023 and June, and were charged June 17 by the Manhattan US Attorney’s office with conspiring to distribute a controlled substance.
