Chaminade’s Thomas Gamba is one high Flyer. Getting cut from the Catholic school’s crew team as a freshman four years ago was the greatest thing to happen for the Syracuse-bound grad, as he instead found a talent calling games from the sidelines and earned what few high schoolers have. Gamba was honored at the 2026 Sports Emmys in May for receiving the Jim McKay Memorial Scholarship as an outstanding student broadcaster who has called MLB games and done studio work for NHL Network.
