The Mets’ real, nagging problem won’t be solved by a pitching change

If you don’t have any idea what to do about the Mets and their gosh-awful start, feel better. There’s no evidence they have much of a clue what to do, either.   The Mets on Friday removed struggling David Peterson from his role as sometime starter and occasional follower of an opener, putting him fully in the bullpen, and they revealed struggling Sean Manaea as the likely candidate to take Peterson’s role as sometime starter/occasional opener-follower.
