This one is for the “politics don’t belong in sports” crowd. The Jaxson Dart-Abdul Carter rift over Dart’s introduction of President Donald Trump at Rockland Community College in Suffern last week is a prime example of why politics will always be inevitable in sports. The Giants quarterback’s participation in the event, where Trump voiced his support for New York Republicans ahead of primary elections, was a political statement in itself.
