Mark Zuckerberg came under fire after his $300 million superyacht made a splashy entrance in a Seattle harbor – right as Meta confirmed about 1,400 layoffs in its local office. The 390-foot vessel, called “Launchpad,” drew a round of boos and heckles when it floated into Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood on Tuesday – with one angry bystander screaming that the billionaire should “pay some f–king taxes,” GeekWire reported. Zuckerberg himself did not appear to be on board the vessel.
