A New York town official has been sentenced after shooting a lost DoorDash delivery driver who had approached his home to ask for directions. Town of Chester Highway Superintendent John Reilly, 49, was ordered Monday to 17 years in prison and must complete five years of post-release supervision under the terms of his sentencing over last May’s shooting. “The lengthy sentence imposed on this defendant justly reflects his depraved indifference to human life,” Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler said in a statement.
