Left erupts as county bans library staff from joining Pride march — and limit what books they can display

The Fresno County Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 Tuesday to block library staffers from participating in next month’s Fresno Rainbow Pride event and placed the legal restrictions it could on Pride-related displays at county library branches. Supervisors Garry Bredefeld, Nathan Magsig, and Buddy Mendes rejected the library staff’s request to set up an informational booth after Fresno’s annual Pride parade, even though event organizers offered to waive the usual $125 fee. 4 The Fresno County Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 Tuesday to block library staffers from participating in next month’s Fresno Rainbow Pride event.
