Ahead of this pattern flip, severe storms are forecast to reignite over nearly 40 million people across parts of the Southern Plains Friday through Mother’s Day. Thunderstorms packing large hail and damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph are expected to fire late Friday afternoon and through the evening hours.
