Even with Penn State blood running through his veins, Abdul Carter couldn’t help but respect the Ohio State linebacker who “popped off the screen” against his alma mater in a rivalry game. Arvell Reese made such a strong impression with 12 tackles and a sack during that game last November that Carter rooted for him to be the Giants’ pick at No. 5 in the NFL draft even though the two Big Ten products didn’t have a personal relationship at the time.
