A maniac with a thinning mullet allegedly tried to murder several people inside a North Carolina home before fleeing from police on a lawnmower, authorities said. Woodrow Allen Smith, 62, allegedly fired his shotgun at a woman and two kids inside a residence in Sanford when police were called and Smith took off on the lawnmower at a breakneck speed of 5-8 mph, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and The Charlotte Observer.
