Ukraine Sends Ground Robots Into Combat to Replace Soldiers in Key Missions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Ukraine is increasingly sending robots into some of the battlefield's deadliest jobs, from logistics runs to direct assault missions, as it tries to offset Russia's manpower advantage and reduce Ukrainian casualties. Ukraine's Defense Ministry said this month it is introducing a new model of warfare that combines aerial drones, ground unmanned systems, and infantry in what it described as integrated drone-assault units. Reuters reported that Ukrainian officials linked that approach to battlefield gains in the south, where commanders say the military has clawed back territory in recent months.
