One of New York’s emerging sports stars was taking in a different playoff atmosphere on Saturday. Yankees right-hander Cam Schlittler was among the stars and celebrities to watch the Knicks play the Hawks in Game 1 of the NBA playoffs on Saturday at Madison Square Garden. Schlittler, whose Yankees won in a rout over the Royals earlier on Saturday in The Bronx, was shown on the Garden scoreboard during the first half to a loud ovation.
