There are a lot of adjectives that can be used to describe this year’s star-studded Dodgers lineup. But after seeing it in action for the first time, “relentless” was the one that popped into Dave Roberts’ head. “It’s a relentless lineup,” Roberts proudly declared Thursday night, in the wake of an 8-2 Opening Day rout of the Diamondbacks that kicked off the Dodgers’ pursuit of a third straight World Series title.
