The shooting at a New Mexico Air Force Base on Tuesday left a military veteran dead and an active duty service member injured, authorities said in an update. The violence erupted near a convenience store, known as a “shopette,” on the Holloman Air Force Base near Alamogordo around 5:30 p. m.
