An off-duty NYPD cop shot and gravely wounded a man suspected of stealing his wife’s car in the Bronx late Monday, law enforcement sources said.   The cop — who is assigned to the Public Security Section under the department’s Intelligence Bureau and is often stationed at Gracie Mansion — opened fire around 9:10 p. m.
