An alleged drunk driver charged with killing four people in a fiery, chain-reaction crash involving a California Highway Patrol officer broke down Tuesday during a court appearance on murder charges. Iris Salmeron bowed her head and closed her eyes in Los Angeles Superior Court as she appeared before a judge at an arraignment for her role in July’s fatal wreck on the 605 Freeway in Downey. Salmeron faces four counts of murder plus four felony counts of driving under the influence after she allegedly plowed at 110mph into a disabled vehicle stalled on the side of the road.
