California’s wildflower boom is inching closer to a superbloom — see the colors that are exlpoding in the desert

Areas of California’s desert are blooming with an array of colors thanks to the various wildflowers that make up the Golden State’s distinct superbloom. While officials have stopped short of calling this year’s wildflower explosion a superbloom, Californians are already taking to the desert to experience one of the state’s great visuals and, of course, the photo op. Death Valley National Park has seen a nice bloom thanks in part to the recent wet weather that allowed the wildflowers to bloom early.
