A soon-to-be grandfather has been identified as one of the survivors of the deadly avalanche near Lake Tahoe, California last week that left nine people dead. Jim Hamilton was one of six survivors rescued nearly six hours after the snowslide caught a group of 15 skiers, including a group of six “super moms” and four guides, who were backcountry skiing at Castle Peak. 3 Beth and husband Jim Hamilton, who survived the avalanche.
