Eight dead, one missing in Lake Tahoe avalanche tragedy

Eight people are confirmed dead, with one more skier still missing in the horrific avalanche that happened just outside of Lake Tahoe. Nevada County Sheriff Shannan Moon provided the grim update on Wednesday, 24 hours after the avalanche was first reported. Moon stated four travel guides and 11 guests were caught in the avalanche.
