The LAPD released a jarring video Tuesday morning of a hit-and-run in hopes of identifying the callous driver who sped away after fatally mowing down a 50-year-old man in a crosswalk. “A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise,” the department wrote when it shared the video on YouTube. 4 In the footage, LA resident Javier Tamayo is seen crossing the street when he was struck by a speeding vehicle.
