Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said Saturday that a man briefly detained in the Nancy Guthrie case Friday “was our person of interest. ” Nanos described the man in an interview with Fox News as cooperative — but did not elaborate on what he meant by the “person of interest” designation or whether the individual was believed to have any direct connection to Guthrie’s disappearance. The man was later released.
