San Diego County health officials have issued a warning about “dark times” ahead as more measles cases are confirmed in Southern California. While there has yet to be a case of measles in the county in 2026, neighboring LA and Orange County have confirmed cases and officials there are urging parents to vaccinate their children. 4 Measles are highly contagious and children are vulnerable to the disease without the MMR vaccine.
