As Nancy Guthrie’s abduction nightmare stretches into a second week, “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie is desperately praying for her missing 84-year-old mother’s safe return — turning to her greatest source of hope and strength: the Bible. “On Sundays, we’d spend all day at Casas Adobes Baptist Church for Sunday school, morning service, choir practice and night service,” Savannah told Guideposts, a non-denominational Christian magazine, in 2016.
