Federal and local authorities revealed Friday they’re investigating a “new message” possibly connected to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie – as law enforcement raced back to the missing 84-year-old’s Arizona home and closed off her block. The latest message was sent earlier in the day to Arizona-based CNN affiliate KOLD 13 News – the same outlet that previously received one of the purported ransom notes that demanded millions in bitcoin for the return of Savannah Guthrie’s mom. KOLD 13 News forwarded the message to law enforcement, who is “actively inspecting the information provided” in it to determine its authenticity, according to a joint statement from the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
