Alex Bregman signs $175 million deal with Cubs to end free agency frenzy

Alex Bregman is headed to Chicago. The Cubs and Bregman are in agreement on a five-year, $175 million contract, according to ESPN’S Jeff Passan on Saturday. Bregman, who turns 32 in late March, had repeatedly received interest from the Yankees, Mets, Blue Jays, Cubs and Tigers, among others.
