Gypsy Rose Blanchard spent seven years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in 2016 for assisting her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, to murder her mom, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. Godejohn was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison after stabbing the 48-year-old to death in her bedroom.
