A disgraced state trooper who faked his own shooting got off with a slap on the wrist in a Nassau County courtroom Wednesday – while his parents will get no jail time on a separate gun rap. Thomas Mascia, 27, cut a sweetheart deal in May after admitting that he shot himself and lied about a mysterious motorist wounding him during a late-night traffic stop on Oct. 30, 2024.
