With the news of Anthony Volpe’s shoulder surgery, Joel Sherman hopped in front of the camera to give us his 3 Things I Think video surrounding the Yankees shortstop. First off, depending on how long it takes him to get back on the field, the Yankees will be forced to take a closer look at Jose Caballero, Oswaldo Cabrera or some combination of both as main men at the position, especially since some would question if a healthy Anthony Volpe is the best option at the position regardless. Second, outside of the organization, Joel points out that there isn’t necessarily a shortstop store on 33rd Street in Manhattan for the Yankees to pick a new toy from.
