A Hawaiian police dog died in a hot car when its handler abandoned her animal partner “for an unacceptable period of time. ” Archer, a 6-year-old Belgian Malinois-German Shepherd mix, died in a police vehicle on last Thursday after his handler Sidra Brown forgot about the drug sniffing pup in the car, the Hawaii Police Department announced in a press release. Archer, 6, died while trapped in a hot police cruiser on September 4.
